It’s been a while since I called this tiny part of the world heritage “Blue Mountains” my home. Ever since I moved here, I’ve enjoy being surrounded by an abundance of greenery and witnessing how baby lizards enjoy bright, warm sunlight on the rocks in my back yard. Kookaburras are surely there while I am working in the garden.
A variety of wild birds (sometimes rare black cockatoos) are chirping, resting and flying among eucalyptus trees, yes it’s actually a free bird show with a unique sound effect!
Let me rewind a second, – I grew up in a small town of Fukuoka in Southern Japan where I spent my life until I came to Australia.
I appreciate being able to feel and witness seasonal transitions in nature. I love the fresh scent of trees and flowers as it brings me back my sweet childhood.
I am quite an emotional person, perhaps an empath – I feel excitement, happiness and sadness from what I see, smell, taste, touch and hear. I wasn’t sure what to do with my occasional “uncontrollable” emotions, but I learnt how to express it by visualising it through creating digital arts.
The totes are designed so that the owner isn’t just carrying items, but something that they can enjoy everyday.
At the end of the day, I hope my arts can put a big smile on your face. I feel very privileged to be able to put a smile on your face with my designs.
